Nov 17, 2017 - Apparently I forgot to include some wifi support in Slax. The linux-live scripts and given the debian iso ). Remark1: when the.iso of slax is being copied to usb pen drive; at the same time. I am running Debian Jessie 8.9 and want to use the Netgear A6210 wireless adapter. I install the driver here. Afterwards, what should I do to use my wifi adapter? Using lsinput does not show the wifi adapter, only the keyboard and mouse. I'm quite new to Ubuntu and have been running it off the memory stick trial for a while around a windows crash. It's great and I have been getting used to some programs such as Wine and some use of ndiswrapper. Unfortunately, my laptops wireless card is incompatible with Linux (typical ) and so I've purchased a wireless Usb device by Netgear (N300) in the hope that if this works I can install fully. I followed the instructions on a previous thread: and installed the drivers recommended. All it says however is that the hardware is not present. Am I missing a step somewhere? Or is there an issue with running it off the memory stick (the only reason I haven't yet installed is the wireless issue). Any help would be most appreciated, and am happy to post screenshots/terminal results that will help.
